Answers about SoarZion, zCartify, and — most importantly — how ownership and licensing actually work.
The basics — who we are and what we offer.
What does SoarZion Technologies do?
SoarZion Technologies is a Chennai-based software engineering firm. We build zCartify — our flagship eCommerce and retail platform, covering Single Vendor, Multi-Vendor, Jewellery, POS, Mobile App and Church Suite editions — along with custom software, database architecture, and hosting services for Indian SMBs.
What is zCartify?
zCartify is our flagship commerce platform, built specifically for Indian retail with native GST invoicing, UPI checkout, pincode-based delivery, and POS integration built in from day one — not bolted on as plugins.
Does SoarZion build custom software?
Yes — logistics platforms, cloud kitchen management software, institutional portals, and enterprise database architectures tailored to your exact workflow.
Which industries does SoarZion serve?
Retail, jewellery, education, travel, cloud kitchens, distribution, churches, and other sectors needing reliable digital commerce or custom-built software.
Is there a free consultation before starting a project?
Yes. After understanding your requirements, we provide a clear scope and fixed quote — no hidden costs.
How much does web hosting cost?
Shared cloud hosting starts from ₹10,000 per year. Dedicated or VPS hosting starts from ₹40,000 per year. Hosting on your own servers is also available, subject to a one-time setup fee — contact us for a quote.
How much does custom software development cost?
Simpler applications like portals and workflow tools start from ₹75,000. Complex multi-module enterprise systems start from ₹2,00,000. All projects are scoped and quoted individually after a free consultation.
Questions that span more than one edition or product.
Can I upgrade from Single Vendor to Multi-Vendor later?
Yes — the upgrade is seamless. Your catalog, customer accounts, order history, and visual styling all carry over without data loss or service disruption.
Are POS and Mobile App available on every zCartify edition, and what do they cost?
Yes — both are optional add-ons available across all editions (Single Vendor, Multi-Vendor, Jewellery, and Church Suite). POS starts at ₹25,000 one-time, including 2 billing terminals. Mobile App is ₹47,000 one-time and syncs automatically with whichever edition you're running — upgrade your web edition, and the app reflects it without separate work.
Can the core architecture be customized for bespoke business logic?
Yes. zCartify is built on a modular backend designed for extensibility. If your workflow needs specialized integrations, custom reporting, or third-party ERP connections, our team can build and integrate these at standard engineering rates.
The part that matters most before you commit — read this section carefully.
Who owns the code — for zCartify, and for custom software?
zCartify: the core platform is delivered under a perpetual, one-time license. You get full operational rights to run, configure, and scale your store indefinitely, with zero recurring platform fees. The underlying framework code remains SoarZion Technologies' intellectual property — the same way any licensed software works.
Custom software: you can choose between two options. (1) A standard build, where SoarZion retains code ownership and you receive a perpetual right to use it — this is the default, lower-cost option. (2) A full IP transfer, where ownership of the custom-built code passes to you, available at an additional cost since that code is built specifically for you and can no longer be reused by us on other projects. Either way, SoarZion's own pre-existing frameworks, libraries, and reusable components used to build your project remain SoarZion's IP.
Who owns the data?
Always you. Your operational data, customer records, merchant ledgers, and transaction history belong entirely to your business — regardless of which product or license type you choose.
What does "perpetual lifetime license" actually mean?
It means you pay once, and your right to run the platform never expires and is never contingent on an ongoing subscription. You can operate, configure, and scale your store for as long as your business runs it — without recurring platform fees or forced revenue-sharing.
Are there hidden or recurring fees?
No. Every zCartify edition and every custom software project is priced as a one-time fee. Optional ongoing services — hosting, annual support plans, feature additions — are separate, and always clearly quoted before you agree to them.
Where is the platform hosted, and can I choose my own hosting?
We offer full flexibility. We can host and maintain the platform for you on our infrastructure, or you can host it on your own cloud servers (AWS, Azure, etc.) under your own domain, subject to a one-time setup and configuration fee.
Can I get access to zCartify's source code?
No — zCartify's core engine is a shared product used across many client deployments and is never sold as transferable IP, regardless of license tier. Full code ownership is only available for custom-built software, and only for the custom-built layer created specifically for your project (see below).
Is there a signed agreement for these arrangements?
Yes. zCartify clients sign a license agreement covering the scope of the license, ownership terms, and support included. Custom software clients sign a development agreement (or master services agreement plus a statement of work) that specifies deliverables, payment terms, and which IP ownership tier applies to that project. We're happy to walk through either agreement with you before signing.
